Deputy Principal Administration
Mrs. Esther M. Lagat
It is my honor and joy to extend a warm welcome to the KSTVC community and its associates. KSTVC is one of the fast-growing public technical institutions in the South Rift. Its growth has been primarily inspired by its mission and vision
The college offers courses in Automotive Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Building and Civil Engineering, ICT, Business Studies, Garment Making and Hair Dressing and Food Technology. The institute has ultra-modern training equipment for Automotive Engineering courtesy of the Government of Kenya. There is comprehensive training in Automotive which is our center of excellence. The ICT lab is equally equipped. We impart knowledge, skills and embrace positive attitudes in our trainees. Activities are well coordinated among the administration, Registrar’s office, dean and heads of department and sections.
Kipsinende TVC has a staff of 66 members. Among these 18 are Public Service Commission (PSC) technical trainers, BOG trainers and 29 non-teaching. We embrace teamwork, hard work and selflessness as key to excellence. The teaching staff and essential staff are dedicated to service before self which is our motto.
The institute can comfortably offer tuition to 1500 trainees with the current facilities. Still, the institute seeks to increase its population to 3000 trainees to promote 100% transition from secondary school to tertiary colleges and university. To realize this goal, the college is involved in sensitisation campaigns to encourage students from the local community and beyond to enroll at our institute. Trainees benefit from government capitation funding and HELB loan.
The institute is aligning its’ training programmes to the county government and National government development plan in order to realize the Government Big Four Agenda and Vision 2030. The national government is very supportive and we urge the county Kericho government to invest and promote technical education in our institute.
God has placed each of us in particular positions of responsibility and influence and we need to leave a positive mark in the lives that we touch. We aim to leave a mark to humanity Titus 2:7 “In everything set them an example by doing good.’’
